Alyssa Mitola, MS, RD, CEDRD, LD/N

Alyssa Mitola is Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian. Alyssa received her Master’s in clinical nutrition from NYU. She completed her dietetic internship at NYU Langone Medical Center with additional rotations in outpatient eating disorder settings in New York City. Previously, Alyssa obtained her Bachelors in Psychology from Villanova University. Working as a Registered Dietitian enables her to combine these passions to help each client heal his or her relationship with food and movement.

Alyssa specializes in Intuitive Eating and Mindful Eating. She practices a “Health At Every Size” (HAES) model and works with all clients to promote flexible eating and body acceptance. She believes all foods fit and will help her clients rediscover the joy of eating. Alyssa understands the complexity of healing from the messages of the diet culture. She provides an individualized evidence based nutrition plan for all of her clients.

Alyssa has extensive experience treating adolescent and adult clients with eating disorders. She has worked across all levels of care to provide comprehensive eating disorder treatment for clients with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and OSFED. She works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team during the recovery process.

Stages of recovery typically look different for each client and family. Alyssa will provide the tools needed during each stage. Alyssa believes in an individualized approach while offering experiential opportunities to apply nutrition skills and topics discussed in sessions.
